　　梁城卫视女记者宋冉在动荡的东国执行采访任务时突遇危险，所幸被在东国做志愿者的华裔爆破工程师李瓒相救，李瓒的温柔和心怀大爱的赤子之心深深吸引了宋冉。李瓒在与宋冉的多次相处中，也发现这个女孩外表看似柔弱，其实勇敢坚强，内心充满了正义与善良。相同的理想和契合的灵魂，让两人擦出了爱的火花。然而，一场突发的爆炸袭击将这份刚刚萌生的感情画上了休止符。回国后的两人都陷入了人生的低谷，甚至彼此失去了联系。李瓒因为好友在爆炸袭击中为救自己而牺牲感到内疚自责，宋冉则由于在爆炸袭击中拍摄的一张照片而备受争议，两人都承受着身心的双重伤痛。机缘巧合下他们重逢，渐渐各自的生活走回了正轨，他们一起种下了白色橄榄树种子。
